Job Description

At World View we are looking to add an IT Specialist to our growing team in Tucson, AZ. The IT Specialist’s role is to ensure the stable operation of computer equipment so that end users can accomplish business tasks. This includes installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing computer hardware, software, and communications. They will also analyze and resolve end user hardware and software computer problems in a timely and accurate fashion, provide end user training where required, and strive to continually grow their IT-relevant skills and knowledge.

Role Responsibilities

  • Respond and resolve user issues, in a timely manner, via phone, email, chat, or in-person
  • Provide hardware and software support for user workstations and peripherals
  • Identify and learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization
  • Implement desktop patches and corrective actions needed to mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities
  • Build, image, maintain, and de-commission workstations and other IT hardware
  • Maintain work logs, accurate documentation, and submit weekly activity reports
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor including but not limited to operational functions such as routine backups, system housekeeping, disk storage management


Administer and enforce conformance to all Information Technology Policies, Procedure, Standards and Practices including but not limited to software version control, confidentiality, security, and usage licensing.

Qualifications

  • AS Degree or equivalent level of experience preferred
  • Strong documentation skills including exceptional written and oral communication
  • Customer service oriented: Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport building, listening, and questioning skills
  • Troubleshooting and analysis skills for general network and computing issues
  • Ability to interact with staff at all organizational levels
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and remain self-motivated to find and fix IT issues
  • Proficient at Microsoft Office Suite and Office 365 (including SharePoint)
  • Basic understanding of a wide variety of desktop & SaaS applications
  • Knowledge of network fundamentals and best practices
