We have offices in Tulsa, OK and Denver, CO, with a growing virtual team around the country.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Provider Growth role is the engine behind ZERO's provider network. You will identify and validate new provider opportunities, make first contact, and qualify leads before handing them to a Provider Sales Executive for negotiation and contracting. Every contract ZERO signs starts with the work done in this seat.
This is a high-volume, high-energy role suited to someone who is organized, persistent, and comfortable on the phone every day. It is a strong entry point into healthcare provider network growth, with a defined path to a full Provider Sales Executive role for those who perform.
WHAT SETS THIS ROLE APART
- A differentiated value proposition. Providers are burdened by denials, delayed payment, and patient collections. ZERO eliminates all three. You are not cold-calling with a weak pitch. You are introducing a model providers are genuinely glad to hear about.
- You help build the list, not just work it. Most entry-level outreach roles hand you a list and a script. Here you will partner with the analytics team to evaluate top-of-funnel data quality, surface sourcing gaps, and help shape how markets and specialty categories are prioritized. Your judgment improves the list, not just your call volume.
- New markets, not maintenance. ZERO is opening provider markets from the ground up. You will be among the first points of contact in markets where no relationships exist yet.
- A defined path forward. Strong performance in this role leads to a Provider Sales Executive position, where you own negotiation and contracting. This is a stated progression, not a vague possibility.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead research and validation. Identify potential healthcare provider targets in new and existing markets. Use tools, reports, healthcare directories, and other sources to validate contact lists. Validate that providers meet ZERO's quality and specialty coverage requirements before they enter the pipeline.
- Initial outreach. Make first contact with prospective provider partners by phone, email, and other channels. Introduce ZERO, gauge interest, and gather the information a Provider Sales Executive will need to advance the conversation.
- Qualification and handoff. Ask the right questions to confirm a provider is a real, qualified opportunity. Document findings clearly in the CRM and transfer validated leads to the appropriate Provider Sales Executive with sufficient context to maintain momentum.
- Pipeline support. Maintain current and organized CRM records. Track outreach activity and outcomes, flag patterns or gaps in specialty coverage, and support Provider Sales Executives with follow-up outreach as needed.
- Top-of-funnel strategy. Partner with the analytics team to improve the quality of top-of-funnel provider data. Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and sourcing issues that affect lead quality, and use performance trends across outreach and validation to inform a more targeted approach over time.
