About you

We are hiring a hands-on engineering leader to directly manage a small, tight-knit engineering team. This role will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer and work in concert with the Principal Engineer to achieve the company’s engineering goals and objectives.

• You lead by example, working as a player-coach to deliver meaningful improvements to our healthcare platform.
• You are motivated to continuously improve organizational systems and processes.

• Rapid and continuous delivery of features to our internal and external customers
• Working directly with product and your lead engineer to design new features
• Contributing and championing new ideas derived from your unique experiences to improve our processes
• Contribute at every level of the stack.
• Being challenged by your colleagues and learning something new every day

Proficiencies

• 6+ years work experience on a software team
• 3+ years as an engineering team lead, manager or director
• Experience with a client side library like Vue or React
• Experience with a statically typed language like Go, Rust, C#, or Java
• Experience with relational databases like MySQL, Postgres
• Experience deploying and managing simple infrastructure
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Able to take ownership of a large software project
• Ability to balance stress, effort, and reward
