What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate with Tempus’ Business Development (BD) team, Operations, Translational Research, Data Analytics, and Alliance Management teams to facilitate project plans and drive partnership opportunities forward
  • Act as a liaison between Tempus’ business development (BD) team and Computational Biologists and Data Scientists
  • Create operational processes to maintain and improve Pharma Analytics pre-sales and execution process
  • Work collaboratively across commercial, operational, scientific, product, and engineering teams to facilitate operational projects
  • Maintain processes and track KPIs and metrics articulating the health of the business
  • Manage and triage incoming Salesforce tickets for Data Business requests, maintaining systems accordingly (e.g, Salesforce, Jira, Wiki pages, etc)
  • Maintain status of various analytical projects across the data org to establish visibility of overall health of client accounts
  • Work closely with legal and scientific leadership to triage and review scoping documents ahead of contracting stage
  • Independently manage all projects, deadlines and stakeholder relationships with timely delivery of ad-hoc requests

Base Qualifications:

  • Excellent project management skills, with proven ability to execute complex projects with multiple cross-functional stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently, communicate proactively, manage multiple projects and prioritize daily tasks while managing critical deadlines
  • Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Demonstrate Tempus’ values by acting with integrity, respect and trust

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of management consulting, alliance management, client service, customer success serving Life Sciences sector (Pharma / Biotech) with a history of proven past performance, meeting or exceeding expectations
  • B.S. or M.S. in Business Administration, Operations, or STEM; Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics or Cancer Genetics, or related field a plus
  • Experience collaborating and leading cross-functional teams
  • Desire to maintain a level of market, customer, and product knowledge necessary to meet sales and operational objectives; Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry trends and companies
  • Customer-facing experience, especially in a business development or consulting capacity
  • Proactive mindset that can operationalize implementable solutions, and can help move both internal and external stakeholders to quickly solve problems
  • Bias toward action and master simplifier - constantly pushing toward clarity and execution
  • Effective project management, relationship-building and negotiation skills
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to create tactical action plans and solve complex problems
  • Highly analytical, entrepreneurial, and self-motivated
  • Solution-oriented mindset
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while managing rapidly changing priorities
