Job Description:
As an ESG Analyst at TemperPack, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the company’s sustainability initiatives by managing key projects, collecting and analyzing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) data, and supporting our customer’s sustainability reporting needs. Working closely with the Sustainability Manager, you will be responsible for gathering and interpreting ESG data to develop reports for investors and other stakeholders, ensuring alignment with both corporate goals and regulatory requirements. This role also involves collaborating across departments to improve product sustainability, reduce operational impacts, and provide value for our customers. The ideal candidate excels in project management, data analysis, and ESG reporting, with a passion for driving change.
Essential Job Functions:
· Collect and analyze data related to environmental metrics (e.g., energy consumption, waste reduction, carbon emissions) across all TemperPack facilities and products using Position Green software.
· Prepare data for customer questionnaires, TemperPack’s annual Impact Report, and stakeholder communications.
· Assist in maintaining product certifications related to sustainability.
· Maintain life cycle assessment product models with current operational and sales data using SimaPro software.
· Assist in the development and implementation of a science-based target and decarbonization initiatives to reduce TemperPack's carbon footprint and improve resource efficiency.
· Collaborate with the R&D, Operations, and Sales teams to incorporate sustainability insights into product development and improvement.
· Present sustainability findings and recommendations to both internal teams and external partners.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
· 1-2 years of experience in data analysis, sustainability reporting or a related field.
· Proficient in data analysis, reporting, and project management.
· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
· Passion for sustainability and a commitment to driving environmental improvements.
· Strong analytical skills and experience working with sustainability reporting tools and software (Position Green, Novata) preferred.
· Familiarity with life cycle analysis methodologies and tools (SimaPro) preferred.
· Familiarity with Sustainability reporting frameworks and standards (B Corp, UN SDGs, etc.).
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 15 pounds unassisted
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
