Description

At TemperPack, we protect food, medicine, and Earth. Our patented biofoam material ClimaCell® is the leading replacement of Styrofoam coolers used to transport food and pharmaceutical products. We focus on understanding the logistical headaches and consumer pain points of delivering and receiving perishable goods. We combine our expertise in packaging design, material science, and custom manufacturing to build products that perform well but are more environmentally friendly. Started in a garage in 2015, TemperPack now has ~300 employees, 100+ customers, and 350,000 square feet of factory space across Richmond, Virginia and North Las Vegas, Nevada.

We are seeking an experienced E&I Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. The candidate will support our twin-screw extrusion, converting, die press, and post-processing equipment.

This position reports to the maintenance manager, and is based in North Las Vegas, NV. For periods of time, the E&I maintenance technician will be needed to support either day or night shift operations. Compensation and benefits are competitive and commensurate with experience level.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain machines to ensure uptime and decrease unplanned downtime
  • Perform preventive and routine maintenance on machines
  • Perform breakdown / repair maintenance on equipment
  • Maintain and repair support infrastructure including both air and water supplies.

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills including critical thinking and structured problem-solving skills.
  • 5-10 years experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, equipment installations, equipment maintenance, construction, fabrication, or supporting service.
  • Licensed and Certified Journeyman classification or equivalent Military Occupational Skill (MOS) preferred.
  • Ability to work overtime and rotating shifts.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Able to wear PPE (for example, safety glasses, ear plugs, closed toed shoes, respirator and overalls) for extended periods.

Job/Skill/Experience Requirements

  • Perform electrical, instrumentation and/or automation maintenance repairs including electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, PLC troubleshooting, and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair of all site equipment
  • Understanding of and experience with reading drawings, Bills of Materials, parts identification, work packages, workflow processes, planning and scheduling.
  • Ability to upgrade and repair electrical equipment to include conduit, junction boxes, controllers, breakers, transformers, VFDs, servo motors and drives, and both AC and DC motors.
  • Perform a variety of maintenance related tasks in connection with the maintenance, repair and/or improvement to equipment.
  • Must have the ability to analyze electrical/electronic circuits, perform electrical/electronic testing
  • Ensure that instrumentation PMs are completed per schedule and weighing systems are performing within the specifications of the process requirements.
