We design and manufacture innovative, sustainable packaging components for cold-chain shipping of food and pharmaceutical products. The markets we serve have an urgent need for disruptive, sustainable alternatives to replace the wide array of non-sustainable packaging materials conventionally used in cold-chain, such as Styrofoam coolers. Job Title: Manager, Business Intelligence & Data Strategy

Job Description

The Manager, Business Intelligence & Data Strategy will work closely with the VP BI (head of all IT / Systems) to strategically architect and develop TemperPack’s data strategy and the tech stack required to best enable it. In addition, this role will need to work closely and collaboratively with cross-functional leaders to ensure the data architecture delivers the required insights in an efficient, effective manner that will enable, rather than hindering scale. TemperPack is in the midst of a transition from a decentralized data management structure to a centralized data management and delivery architecture and this role will play a critical part in developing, constructing, and evolving the envisioned future state.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop the company’s BI related tech stack and data models.
  • Design and build visualizations requested by stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with leaders from the Manufacturing, Commercial, and Product Development teams to identify opportunities to facilitate their accomplishment of their OKRs with data. Architect could-native solutions and deliver to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with technical and commercial leaders to identify ways to monetize existing data assets (and identify potential future data assets).
  • Create & manage data governance processes to ensure high data integrity and a unified understanding of business data across stakeholders.
  • Create and manage a data strategy roadmap that aligns with overall company trajectory.

Qualifications

Skills/Requirements

  • 5+ years experience with PowerBI
  • 5+ years experience with SQL
  • 3+ years with ETL
  • 3+ years in BI Leadership role
  • 3+ years experience with Azure suite (particularly BI/data related resources)
  • Ability to project manage, balance priorities across multiple stakeholder groups
  • Ability to translate functional/business requirements into data solutions

Education

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Analytics, or related discipline. Master’s Degree in Analytics/Data preferred. An equivalent combination of experience and skills will be considered.
