See open jobs at Sweetgreen.See open jobs similar to "Director, Food Safety and Loss Prevention" Revolution.The Director of Food Safety and Loss Prevention will be a key member of the Operations Team, responsible for managing the company’s food safety and loss prevention functions, including being the main point of contact during any crisis. This position is responsible for the implementation of security measures for the protection of company safety and assets, as well oversight of our food safety program.
Location and Travel
- Based in the Greater Los Angeles Area
- The position will require multi-state travel up to 25% of the time
What you’ll do:
- Develop, implement, and maintain food safety and loss prevention policies and procedures that meet or exceed industry “best practices” to reduce exposure and improve asset protection, including team member and customer safety
Develop a training program regarding food safety and loss prevention, as well as a system of regular reporting on related metrics and data to strengthen the culture, process, and documentation related to these initiatives
- Conduct trend analysis and regular root-cause assessments of incidents with key stakeholders, including restaurant operators, and determine relevant next steps to mitigate future incidents
- Manage our internal Food Safety team
- Select and manage third-party vendors to implement loss prevention and food safety strategies
- Partner cross-functionally to select, implement and maintain infrastructure that supports food safety and loss prevention standards are upheld (remote temperature monitoring, camera and alarm systems, safes and cash management)
- Establish processes and systems to enable fast first response times to emergencies + incidents
- During a crisis, coordinate all necessary and appropriate functions across the company, including but not limited to stakeholders in Operations, Food Safety, PR, Brand, Legal, and IT
- Facilitate cross-functional decision-making and approval of all internal and external communications related to food safety or loss prevention

Desired Qualifications:
- 5+ years of management experience Food Safety Management
- 5+ years of management experience in Loss Prevention
- Experience managing Food Safety and Loss Prevention for a national restaurant and/or retail chain with 300+ locations
- Awareness of applicable city, state, and federal laws or guidelines
- The position requires 24/7 availability for incident response, as needed
