About The Role

We are looking for Enterprise Sales Executive to join our sales team reporting to Mark Seaton our SVP of Sales. This is a "bottom-of-funnel" role which will be accountable to execute on sales opportunities that the Business Unit Directors ("mid-funnel") create with prospective customers.

We have a small team of Business Unit Directors who are experts in the Agriculture sector. Their focus is to build strong, multi-year relationships with prospects, understanding the prospect's business inside-and-out and collaborate to undercover a higher-level value proposition that the Smartwyre platform can enable. The Enterprise Account Executive then engages with prospects, with the goal of managing the complexity of the sales process to secure a win.

Nearly all of our prospective customers buy as a committee. Each will have champions and detractors of Smartwyre. All need to secure budget and organizational commitment to make a change to drive a higher performance. The Enterprise Account Executive is familiar with these business dynamics as well as financial concepts such as pricing, gross margin, working capital and overall corporate profitability.

The Enterprise Account Executive role is remote and we will expect you to travel extensively to engage on-site with prospective customers and colleagues.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead the Opportunity Execution process and be accountable for the close ("bottom of funnel")
  • Gain confidence with customers' stakeholders to quantify the impact of the customers' current processes, scope an improvement, propose a solution using the Smartwyre platform, and create alignment around the potential value
  • Work with the company's Solutions Engineer to showcase the Smartwyre platform during discovery calls.
  • Leverage your learnings through the Opportunity Execution process to assist prospective customers and Smartwyre's Business Unit Directors in thinking about project timing and business value
  • Liaise with Smartwyre Customer Success teams to seamlessly onboard new customers and help to coordinate our partnership activities.

You will bring a strong track record of selling SaaS, ideally within a vertical software environment. You will relentlessly drive, take complete ownership, dig into the details, and do whatever is necessary to crush our aggressive business goals. You are driven, customer-centric, curious, and passionate about helping companies solve high-impact business problems with creative solutions. If you have sold technology to a complex business vertical, this is a big advantage!

You will be someone comfortable with technology. More importantly, you are comfortable with complexity and can succinctly distill it to a clear solution.

You have the talent for aligning with multiple stakeholders and building relationships across roles (folks in agriculture are exceptional human beings).

The right person for this job enjoys the hectic nature of a smaller company with ambiguity and constant change, but also wants to help a sales organization and Smartwyre scale over time.

You are willing to travel frequently to visit clients and colleagues.
