Scopely is looking for a Director of Product Marketing to join the Scrabble franchise in Barcelona on a hybrid basis (2 days per week at the office).

The Marketing team deeply understands a game’s audience, creative strategy, and priorities. They are the glue between the Brand, Product, and our Player Communities that will redefine our social strategy to amplify our games across new and existing social channels while building a meaningful community for our players.

What You Will Do

You will be responsible for crafting and overseeing the delivery of category-winning marketing strategies. You’ll be focused on leading marketing for a long-lasting mobile title Scrabble Go as well as working on a new unannounced mobile project. You will be responsible for driving the go to market strategy for the worldwide launch of the game.

  • Lead the creation of the Go-to-Market Strategy for a new mobile title. You will research, define, and articulate the best path and plan to achieve the audience growth goals for your game(s).
    • Developing a cutting-edge go-to-market (GTM) strategy, translating product features into clear, compelling, and differentiated value propositions and stories that resonate with our players.
    • Develop a creative strategy and work with creative partners to develop and execute UA, Community, Influencer Marketing or CRM creatives.
    • Develop and execute 360 marketing campaigns by leveraging data-driven analyses, competitive insights, and customer insights to identify and articulate key differentiators.
    • Test, measure, and optimize product messaging and positioning through A/B testing, market research, players research, and feedback loops.
    • Contribute to developing a strong community and content creator program to ensure we have an avid fan base ready for launch and beyond.
  • Support the product launch end-to-end: develop launch strategies, and orchestrate alignment across Product, Marketing, Creative Marketing, Licensors and Central Publishing teams to ensure successful launches and sustained momentum.
  • Be the marketing advocate and partner to the game developers in the studio, ensuring our approach and strategy for showcasing each game’s best elements align with our target audience’s needs.
  • Act as the voice of the customer—championing user needs, pain points, and feedback to inform product strategy, roadmap, and feature prioritization.
  • Manage the relationship with our Licensors and third party partners.
  • As a game progresses and scales, build and nurture a team of skilled and highly capable marketers under you to execute, test, and adapt the strategy as the game evolves and grows.
  • Work hand-in-glove with our marketing teams and departments to deliver and implement their components of the strategy, including Performance Marketing, Marketing Data & Analytics, Creative, Player Research, and more.
  • Manage executive communications for all marketing and GTM efforts.

What We’re Looking For

This role requires someone who can bring together the art and science of modern-day Free-2-Play Mobile game marketing, with the ability to support a title across multiple hardware platforms. Community, brand, and performance marketing must be thoughtfully orchestrated with a full complement of product marketing avenues to ensure we deliver a world-class gaming experience for our players.

  • 7+ years of experience leading and running marketing strategies and teams
  • Hands-on experience bringing successful games to market.
  • Experience driving acquisition, activation, and retention through GTM, creator strategy, and lifecycle funnels.
  • Highly analytical with a deep understanding of game and marketing KPIs, ensuring we are data and community-driven.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a growth mindset—able to diagnose challenges, break them down into actionable components, and drive toward innovative solutions.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for leveraging best-known methods (and pioneering new ones!) around Influencer and Community-oriented marketing programs for games or services with loyal, avid fan bases.
  • A truly committed team player, you’re someone who knows how to partner across teams and functions, and get them inspired and aligned behind a strategy and a plan.
  • A track record of developing, testing, and establishing innovative marketing strategies that deliver breakthrough results.
  • An excellent communicator, especially at the executive level.
  • A player of games with a love of your chosen medium.
