What is the Role?

Place Exchange is seeking a Technical Account Manager to join our partner solutions team sitting at the intersection of Partnerships, Software Development and Operations. You will use your knowledge and deep understanding of the programmatic ecosystem  to identify growth opportunities that drive incremental revenue and product advancement to our partners. 

 

Combining technical knowledge and creative thinking with strong communication skills and a high degree of attention to detail you will tackle a range of challenges and seize on opportunities to deliver compelling solutions to advertisers and agencies in collaboration with our word-class DSP partners. 

 

The right candidate will possess strong analytical skills and constantly stay at the forefront of new capabilities working with product to ensure the implementation process is defined, tested, optimized and ready for broad adoption.

 

This fast-paced, detail-oriented, and varied role is perfect for you to delve deep into the emerging programmatic channel of OOH. You should have outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills, and the ability to thrive in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Manage key technical relationships and derive maximum value for our partnerships

Develop forward-thinking, data-driven analysis, and recommendations that align with customer goals and quantify high-impact opportunities with clear recommendations to pitch to customers and internal stakeholders

Manage projects of varying complexity and duration where you will communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical clients, plan tasks, set timelines, manage and update stakeholders, resolve blockers and drive the process forward.

Use creative and strategic problem-solving skills to find solutions that are mutually beneficial to PX and our clients

Define and implement proactive customer health monitoring leveraging service monitoring tools

Report on business growth figures internally and develop customer BI reporting to deliver insights o our customers

Identify new opportunities where our products can better help our partners’ businesses and deliver feedback to Place Exchange product and engineering teams for consideration in the roadmap

Support product in driving adoption of new products through trainings, collateral creation, and process definition 

Work with product and eng to define, develop and implement test method architecture that is standard/common to all test methods

Oversee customer support activities, serving in a critical issue management role when necessary.

Own technical escalation management. Ensure tracking key operational metrics while identifying and remediating any difficulties.

 

What you’ll bring:

4+ years of experience in the programmatic media space (buy-side or sell-side)

Previous experience working in an account management, programmatic analyst, technical account management or partner relationships type role

Extensive familiarity with the ad tech ecosystem and key trends

Experience working with demand-side platforms (DSP), programmatic trading desks, supply-side platforms (SSP), ad servers, and data management platforms (DMPs). Experience working with web languages/standards such as HTML, JSON, VAST, REST APIs a major plus.

Proven track record of success driving revenue and new business development

Strong analytical base with experience with various business intelligence or reporting tools such as Looker/Tableau.  Experience with SQL/Python languages and data visualization development is a major plus. 

Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively present technical products to non-technical customers, and negotiate deals

You have a natural curiosity of how things work and can quickly learn new technologies and tools 

You enjoy collaborating with people to get work done, but know when to take ownership of a task

 

Compensation:

 

For those based in New York City, the expected compensation for this role at time of hire is a salary range of $125,000-$135,000, plus bonus (based on level and performance), and stock options.  Exact compensation is determined during our interview process by assessing a candidate’s experience and skills relative to internal peers  as well as market benchmarks evaluated for the scope and responsibilities of the position and the location of the candidate. A candidate’s compensation will be based on the role and level they are hired for, which may be different than the role they applied for.
