Obstetrician Gynecology - Clinical

We’re long overdue for a new perinatal care experience. Here at Oula we believe every pregnant person deserves a safe environment and supportive multidisciplinary team that listens, empathizes, and tailors care to meet individual needs.

We are looking for an Obstetrician & Gynecologist to join our new collaborative care practice. We’re searching for an individual who has a passion for providing holistic care with an emphasis on a patient centered, trauma-informed care approach centered upon patient autonomy for patients seeking OB/GYN services.

This is a full-time benefits-eligible position and the base salary range is $285,000- $310,000, as a part of a comprehensive compensation package.

Key Responsibilities

- This is a clinical position averaging 40 hours per week: two 12-hour shifts on Labor and Delivery and two days (4 clinic sessions) of direct patient care (in person and virtual)

- You will be responsible for direct patient care in the clinic and labor and delivery

- Patient care in the outpatient setting consists of obstetric consults in a collaborative care model providing guidance for our midwifery team on patients who meet the criteria for collaborative OB/GYN-midwifery care

- Outpatient minor procedures

- Labor and delivery 2 twelve-hour shifts per week overseeing the midwifery team on labor and delivery, providing support to midwives and operative consults

- Provide ongoing clinical oversight of midwives, nurses and medical assistants to ensure that high quality evidence based care is being provided

- Clinical consultation for Oula midwives and actively participates in clinical collaboration

- Represent Oula as a champion for the collaborative care model in the hospital setting and excited about supporting care in a future birth center setting - Perform procedures, including cesarean deliveries

- Develop and care for a panel of prenatal patients who are candidates for OB care

- Work collaboratively with Oula's Medical Director to establish processes to continue to standardize care and to roll out new services and participate in quality improvement initiatives

Desired Experience & Qualifications

- MD or DO - Residency in obstetrics / gynecology

- New grads welcome to apply, would prefer experience with midwives and backing up midwives

- Great patients reviews and reputation for exceptional patient care and bedside manner

- Experience coaching and/or managing midwives

- Experience with telemedicine or virtual care

Oula offers a competitive total rewards package which includes base salary, and comprehensive benefits. Exact compensation inclusive of salary and any bonuses is determined based on a number of factors including experience and skill level, location, and qualifications which are assessed during the interview process.
