Telehealth Physician (MD/DO) - Acute Care
Employment Type: Contract / Part-Time (1099)
Location: Remote
Reports To: Senior Director, Care Operations
Shifts & Compensation * Minimum Availability: 4 shifts per month (must include at least 1 weekend shift per month).
We are seeking Board-Certified Physicians to serve as remote clinical authorities. In this role, you will manage acute conditions via video assessment, directing on-site paramedics who execute hands-on care.

Care is delivered through a physician-led model that combines virtual oversight with in-home clinicians, advanced technology, diagnostics, and therapies. For high-risk populations, myLaurel achieves 33% lower ED utilization, a 49% absolute reduction in readmissions, and an average of 15 bed-days saved daily—alongside a Net Promoter Score of 97.

- Shift Hours: 12-hour shifts (9 AM - 9 PM).
- Base Rate: $75/hr.
- Incentive: +$75 per visit after the first 4 visits.
We are seeking Board-Certified Physicians to serve as remote clinical authorities. In this role, you will manage acute conditions via video assessment, directing on-site paramedics who execute hands-on care.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct remote assessments and manage acute conditions
- Collaborate with paramedics providing hands-on care
- Create personalized treatment plans and prevent readmissions
- Communicate with care teams to ensure continuity
- Document encounters and use multiple EMRs
- Board Certification: MD or DO with active, unrestricted board certification in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine (hospitalist-focused), or Family Medicine (with documented inpatient or ED experience)
- Licensure: Active medical license in one of these states: NY, PA, or LA (PA or LA preferred)
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years post-residency clinical experience
- Tech Proficiency: Demonstrated EMR proficiency and a dedicated HIPAA-compliant remote workspace
- Work Eligibility: Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
