The Role:

The Vice President of Marketing will provide strategic leadership and direction for all marketing efforts, driving brand growth, market expansion, and customer engagement. This senior leadership role will oversee the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies to achieve business objectives, with a focus on driving brand awareness and sales to retail and food service channels. You’ll report to the CEO and collaborate with Meati’s advisory team and subject matter experts.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of brand positioning, messaging, and creative campaigns to ensure Meati’s brand is accurately and powerfully reflected across the entire customer journey (on and offline)
  • Develop, drive and execute the overall marketing strategy in alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Partner with the Sales team to develop disruptive in store activation and programming to increase Meati’s visibility and conversion.
  • Collaborate across sales, product innovation, finance, and operations to ensure alignment and cohesion across marketing efforts.
  • Oversee digital marketing initiatives, including website optimization, social media strategy, content marketing, and online advertising.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop integrated marketing campaigns that drive customer acquisition and retention.
  • Track and analyze key performance metrics and insights, identify market trends, opportunities, and threats to develop strategy and campaign initiatives to optimize performance
  • Manage marketing budgets, allocate resources effectively, and optimize marketing spend to maximize ROI.
  • Build out the organization and execute plans through a balance of in-house resources and vendor partners.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including media partners, influencers, and industry organizations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing roles, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position.
  • Proven track record of building novel brands from zero awareness to a household name in the food or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.
  • Strong leadership and strategic planning skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve results.
  • Deep understanding of brand management, product marketing, and digital marketing channels.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across the organization.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and driving growth in a dynamic start-up environment.

Compensation:
The base salary range for this role is $215,000 - $250,000 annually, which is just one aspect of our total compensation package. In addition to the salary, this position is eligible for a potential annual bonus and equity! Actual compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
