KLDiscovery is hiring a Manager, Total Rewards to lead compensation and benefits design, governance, and operations for India, with regional support across APAC (Australia, Japan, China) and select EMEA markets (UK, Germany, Italy). This is a senior individual contributor role with significant scope and visibility, reporting directly to the Senior Director, Global Total Rewards & HR Operations.

The successful candidate is an experienced Total Rewards practitioner who is equally comfortable with quantitative plan design (market pricing, leveling, incentive modeling) and operational execution (vendor management, annual cycles, statutory compliance partnership). You will be the in-region TR voice for India and the regional partner-of-choice for HR business partners and country leaders across your assigned countries.

What You’ll Do

Compensation Design & Strategy

  • Lead annual merit, promotion, and incentive cycles for India — budget recommendation, market positioning, governance, and execution.

  • Conduct market pricing using leading survey sources (Mercer, Aon, WTW, Korn Ferry); maintain a structured benchmarking calendar.

  • Support and refine job architecture, leveling, and salary structure for India and assigned APAC/EMEA countries.

  • Partner on Short-Term Incentive (STI) design and modeling; support equity / Long-Term Incentive (LTI) administration where applicable.

  • Build offer recommendations for senior India hires; provide TR input on internal moves, promotions, and retention scenarios.

Benefits Strategy & Operations

  • Own the design, renewal cycle, and vendor governance for India benefits programs (group medical, life, accident, retirement, leave, wellness, and ancillary programs).

  • Manage broker and insurer relationships; lead annual renewals and RFP activity in partnership with Global TR.

  • Oversee day-to-day benefits operations for India: enrollments, eligibility data, invoicing, and employee escalations.

  • Provide design and renewal advisory for assigned APAC and select EMEA markets in collaboration with country HR partners and brokers.

Regional Support — APAC (Australia, Japan, China) & EMEA (UK, Germany, Italy)

  • Serve as Total Rewards point of contact for assigned countries (in addition to India); deliver market intelligence, renewal advisory, and ad-hoc analysis.

  • Track statutory and regulatory developments across covered countries and surface implications for plan design, budgets, and policy.

  • Build relationships with regional brokers, survey vendors, and consulting partners.

Process, Systems & Data

  • Partner with HR Operations on the migration to Oracle HCM Cloud — defining Total Rewards data, validating compensation and benefits configuration, and supporting integrations.

  • Build and maintain TR analytics: pay equity, range penetration, cost-of-program, and budget variance reporting.

  • Develop and maintain SOPs and documentation for compensation and benefits processes.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compensation and benefits practices in India and assigned countries align with statutory requirements and internal policy, working with local HR, legal, and external advisors.

  • Support M&A integration activities including Total Rewards due diligence, harmonization, and transition planning.

  • Contribute to governance materials and committee submissions for regional plan changes.

What You Bring

Required

  • 8+ years of progressive Total Rewards experience with hands-on accountability for India compensation and benefits.

  • Demonstrated experience working in or supporting multi-country TR operations (APAC and/or EMEA exposure).

  • Strong market pricing experience using major survey houses (Mercer, Aon, WTW, Korn Ferry).

  • Proven design and modeling experience across compensation programs (annual cycles, STI, leveling/structures).

  • Hands-on benefits experience including renewal management, broker/vendor governance, and operations.

  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills; comfortable with large data sets and modeling.

  • Working knowledge of Indian statutory and labor compliance frameworks affecting compensation and benefits.

  • Experience with an enterprise HRIS — Oracle HCM, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or equivalent.

  • Strong written and verbal communication in English; able to work across time zones with global, regional, and country stakeholders.

Preferred

  • In-country or hands-on TR experience in one or more of: UK, Germany, Italy, Australia, Japan, China.

  • Total Rewards experience in a global SaaS, legal tech, or professional services environment.

  • WorldatWork certifications: GRP (Global Remuneration Professional), CCP (Certified Compensation Professional), or CBP (Certified Benefits Professional). CEBS also welcomed.

  • Experience supporting M&A integration or carve-out activity.

  • Hands-on experience with Oracle HCM Cloud, particularly Compensation and/or Benefits modules.

  • Experience with equity / LTI administration.

  • Job architecture and salary structure design experience.

Working Style

  • Senior individual contributor who operates with high ownership and minimal supervision.

  • Equally comfortable in design (modeling, structuring, recommending) and operations (executing, reconciling, troubleshooting).

  • Pragmatic in trade-offs; rigorous in detail.

  • Comfortable navigating matrix relationships, time zones, and competing priorities.
