About the Role

As Director of Finance, you’ll play a high-impact, highly visible role on the Finance team at Kashable, a fast-growing, venture-backed fintech. We are seeking a candidate with Big 4 or comparable public accounting audit experience who is excited to work in-house and help shape and scale a finance function at a pivotal stage of the company.

Partnering closely with the VP of Finance, you'll lead efforts to strengthen our audit readiness and financial controls infrastructure while also supporting broader strategic priorities across the business, including capital raises, cross-functional finance initiatives, and other key growth efforts. You’ll help redesign and implement the processes, documentation, and rigor needed to support a growing fintech platform, and be a key leader in managing the company through external audits.

You’ll also contribute to strategic finance and capital formation efforts, including investor and lender materials, diligence preparation, financial analysis, data room organization, and broader transaction support. Candidates with experience in transactions or capital markets-related work will be especially well positioned to thrive in this role.

If you’re energized by joining a nimble, collaborative team where your judgment matters, your scope can expand quickly, and your work helps build a mission-driven business with real impact in people’s lives, Kashable could be a great fit.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead the continued development of Kashable’s audit readiness, internal controls, accounting policies, and supporting documentation, and serve as a primary internal partner to external auditors
  • Support fundraising, investor and lender diligence, and transaction-related work, including financial analysis and data room organization
  • Partner closely with the VP of Finance on a wide range of strategic finance priorities, including capital planning, investor-related activities, and support for key growth initiatives
  • Support key financial planning processes, including annual budgeting, monthly performance analysis, and product forecasting

Required Skills & Abilities

  • This role is ideal for someone with strong public company-style audit rigor and technical accounting experience at a leading Big 4 or national/ public accounting firm who is excited to build, improve, and lead in a high-growth environment
  • Experience in transaction advisory, deal advisory, financial due diligence, or capital raising support is a plus
  • 6+ years of relevant audit and finance experience
  • A gritty, adaptable, self-motivated approach and a willingness to take ownership
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA strongly preferred.
