Position Overview:

Hidden Level is transforming airspace safety with innovative, scalable drone detection and airspace technology. We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to manage and improve the infrastructure that supports the development, production, and deployment of our state-of-the-art sensor network. This role plays a critical part in ensuring system reliability, scalability, and security across on-premises and cloud environments.

Location: This position may be remote, hybrid, or onsite at our Syracuse, NY office.

Responsibilities:

• Design, extend, and harden DevOps infrastructure supporting product development and production systems
• Design scalable deployment and configuration strategies for on-premises and cloud-based environments
• Investigate, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and supporting architecture
• Improve automation, regression testing, and test coverage to reduce developer touch time
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production system issues to minimize downtime
• Evaluate, prioritize, and remediate infrastructure and operational problems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system design and implementation
• Participate in design and code reviews
• Document system architectures and clearly communicate technical decisions to peers and stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of relevant professional experience
• Experience deploying and maintaining cloud-native solutions (AWS, Azure, or similar)
• Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as SaltStack, Ansible, or Chef
• Expertise with configuration management and version control systems (Git, Perforce)
• Experience managing CI/CD platforms (GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo, JFrog Artifactory, etc.)
• Proficiency with Shell/Bash and at least one scripting language (Python, Ruby, etc.)
• Expert-level Linux systems administration experience, including configuration, hardening, upgrades, and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with on-premises and cloud cybersecurity best practices • Ability to travel up to 10%

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, or a strong drive to learn
• Experience working in multi-cloud environments, or a strong desire to develop this skill set

Compensation and Benefits: Hidden Level offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid parental leave, flexible time off, 401(k) with employer contributions, life insurance, disability insurance, and potential stock options.

Salary Range: The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $90,800 to $113,500 annually.
