We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Day Porter/Janitor to support our manufacturing floor operations. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment throughout the facility, with a strong focus on the production floor. The position will also provide backup support to the current Day Porter as needed. The ideal candidate is proactive, reliable, and able to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Day Porter/Janitor to support our manufacturing floor operations. The position will also provide backup support to the current Day Porter as needed. The ideal candidate is proactive, reliable, and able to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization across the manufacturing floor, ensuring all areas are safe and presentable.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing high-touch surfaces.
- Remove trash, debris, and recyclables from the production floor and designated areas throughout the shift.
- Ensure walkways, workstations, and common areas remain clear, clean, and hazard-free.
- Support production teams by maintaining organized work environments and assisting with light material movement when needed.
- Clean and restock restrooms in the back of the factory.
- Follow proper waste disposal procedures, including handling of manufacturing-related materials as required.
- Identify and report any maintenance, safety, or cleanliness issues to the appropriate team.
- Provide backup coverage for the Day Porter during absences, ensuring continuity of daily operations.
- Assist with general housekeeping tasks and special projects as assigned by Workplace operations teams.
- Previous janitorial or facilities experience required; manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness, safety, and organization.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during mid-shift hours.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical tasks, including standing and walking for extended periods.
- Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to changing priorities.
- Onsite position within a manufacturing facility.
- Exposure to active production areas, requiring adherence to safety protocols and PPE as needed.
- Role involves frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
