Hermeus is seeking a Project Engineer to play a crucial role in the development and execution of aircraft development projects, from the initial concept through to design, testing, and implementation. Working across multidisciplinary teams, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning and tracking program performance and execution of the aircraft projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support project planning, scheduling, and execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope.
  • Coordinate and communicate between engineering/manufacturing teams, suppliers, and leadership to ensure project requirements and milestones are met.
  • Track and status projects based on schedule, performance, and milestones.
  • Identify and track project risks/opportunities and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Prepare and present project reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Continuously evaluate project progress and performance, implementing necessary improvements or processes to ensure project success.
  • Own cross-functional project tool creation and management to improve performance and schedule tracking of projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management or engineering within the aerospace industry.
  • Strong understanding of aerospace systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent project management skills, with a proven track record of leading successful engineering projects.
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Excel, Jira, etc)
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions based on data and technical understanding.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to obtain U.S. security clearance.
