The Head of Sales is a leadership role responsible for creating and maximizing revenue growth. This strategic position plays a critical role in the overall success of the organization, overseeing the Sales and Growth functions to achieve revenue and growth targets. You’ll work closely with our CEO and other leadership team members in order to be successful.

This opportunity is for a self starter who is capable of building a growth program from the ground up. While you may or may not have been a leader/manager before, you are ready for that challenge. At the same time, you are still comfortable rolling your sleeves up and doing each part of the sales process. Gig Wage has a very solid foundation and understanding of the market, customers and product. We need someone that is maniacally focused on sourcing and delivering deals within our ICP. Will you have help? Yes! You’ll have resources on our current team and you’ll be able to hire. Gig Wage is a sales led organization and we are looking for an individual with incredible work ethic, outstanding communication skills, and the ability to grow revenue and a team.

What you'll do

  • End to end revenue ownership: Set strategy & build the operating mechanism across pre and post-sales business teams to align with the business goals and objectives.
  • Identify and hire great revenue talent: Find and hire the right SDR and sales team.
  • Lead Generation Strategy: Build awareness and pipeline strategy that drive demand, generate leads, and support sales efforts via SDRs. Stay informed about market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to identify new revenue opportunities and potential risks.
  • Sales Leadership: Lead and empower the sales efforts, providing strategic direction, setting targets, and monitoring performance to meet or exceed sales quotas
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work internally with Gig Wage stakeholders to unlock growth needs across cross-functional teams. Create and expand a successful feedback loop between our partners, their end users, and Gig Wage’s internal product, marketing, engineering, and operations teams.
  • Pricing and Revenue Management: Implement effective pricing strategies, revenue optimization techniques, and data-driven decision-making to maximize revenue.

What we're looking for

  • 7-10+ years of experience
  • Comfortable with building out a GTM function for six figure ACV accounts.
  • Experience hiring, managing and scaling the SDR function
  • Hands-on experience at Series A to C enterprise SaaS companies owning and growing a business with adoption-driven revenue goals
  • Experience leading both pre-sales and post sales efforts
  • Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets
  • Strong sales acumen: you understand the b2b sales lifecycle-b2b2c is a plus
  • Excited by the combination of working deeply with individual prospects, customers, partners and building for scale.
  • Strong sense of ownership and resilience; exceptional communicator (both written and verbal)
  • Familiar with what it takes to hunt whales and navigate complex finance & HR sales.
  • Experience in Fin-tech, payments or payroll is a huge plus

Our year 1 cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $300,000 - $350,000 OTE in DFW which is preferred. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
