About the Role
Foxtrot is seeking an Assistant Store Manager (ASM) to join our in-training program, a 5-week on-the-job learning opportunity, ahead of joining a local store's team. Our ASMs serve as a leader across hiring, on-boarding, training & team engagement; ensuring our teams are consistently delivering incredible guest service through product knowledge & hospitality; facilities maintenance & in-store merchandising; sales & financial performance, and more.
- Guest Focus. Be a hospitality champion that provides excellent service to our guests. Develop meaningful connections with your local store community. Provide in-the-moment support to your team to ensure all guest needs are met.
- Team Leadership & Interpersonal Savviness. Partner with your Store Manager (SM) to build a high-performing store team. Consistently set a positive & professional environment in your store. Build & foster relationships to proactively identify & address conflicts, tackle operational hurdles and engage your team around growth & advancement at Foxtrot. Be open to, embrace & manage change for & with your store team. Serve as a role model & team advocate.
- Process & Procedure Management. Manage store-specific operational procedures & policies. Demonstrate a solution-oriented mindset and ability to execute within Foxtrot standards in both retail and delivery operations.
- Organizing & Planning. Manage scheduling & labor and store inventory needs, in order to prioritize and meet business objectives & deadlines in our fast-paced environment. Support SM in ensuring initiatives are executed and business plans are reached consistently.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Hospitality- and people-first mindset.
- Strong communication skills, and ability to connect with all levels of the organization.
- Passion, knowledge and excitement for high-quality & trending goods, especially in food and beverage.
- Able to work independently and within a cohort of other Store Managers to implement best practices across the Company.
- Able to be physically present in-store, walking, standing, lifting and bending.
- Reliable and dependable.
- Previous retail, café and/or restaurant managerial experience is required.
- Must be 21+ to handle alcohol transactions.
