The Director of Product will own the end-to-end product strategy and execution for CLEAR’s Travel digital experiences across mobile app and web, spanning enrollment, winback, and the member journey from home-to-gate. This role is accountable for driving meaningful growth outcomes by improving acquisition, increasing mobile app adoption and utilization, and evolving CLEAR’s digital assist into a differentiated, high-utility travel experience.

Reporting into senior product leadership, this role will partner closely with Engineering, Design, Marketing, Data, and Operations to define strategy, prioritize investments, and deliver high-impact experiences with urgency. Success in this role requires a strong strategic lens, comfort operating directly with senior leadership, and the ability to translate ambitious vision into crisp execution through a small, high-performing team of Product Managers.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own the CLEAR Travel product portfolio across mobile app and web, defining the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for enrollment, winback, and home-to-gate digital experiences.
  • Identify the product capabilities that will materially increase mobile app downloads, engagement, and habitual usage during travel journeys in partnership with Growth and Operations teams.
  • Drive growth-focused improvements to the web experience, particularly top- and mid-funnel enrollment and winback flows, in close partnership with Marketing.
  • Develop and articulate product strategy at the SLT level, clearly framing tradeoffs, sequencing bets, and aligning stakeholders around priorities that unlock growth and member value.
  • Partner with Engineering, Design, and Data to deliver scalable, high-quality consumer experiences across iOS, Android, and web, balancing speed, reliability, and long-term platform health.
  • Identify and incubate new monetization and engagement opportunities within the Travel ecosystem, including partnerships and integrations that increase CLEAR’s value to the member.
  • Manage and mentor a small team of Product Managers, setting a high bar for clarity, ownership, and outcomes while supporting individual growth and development.
  • Establish strong product operating rhythms, including roadmap planning, metrics reviews, experimentation, and decision-making frameworks to ensure accountability and momentum.
  • Champion customer obsession and execution excellence, grounding strategy in data, experimentation, and real-world member behavior.

How You’ll Measure Success:

  • Driving a clear, data-informed product strategy that secures alignment across senior leadership.
  • Increased utilization of the CLEAR app within the Travel experience, leading to higher retention.
  • Improved conversion on enrollment and winback journeys across desktop and mobile web.
  • Increased ARPU from delivering on initiatives tied to growth, member value and engagement.
  • Driving a high-performing, motivated, and results-focused product team.

What You’re Great At:

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, including leading consumer-facing products across mobile and web.
  • Proven track record owning growth-oriented funnels (acquisition, conversion, engagement) in subscription, eCommerce, or consumer platforms.
  • Deep experience driving mobile app strategy (iOS/Android), including activation, engagement, and retention, with a focus on enhancing the physical experience with digital tools.
  • Comfort operating at both strategy and execution layers: setting vision, making hard prioritization calls, and ensuring teams deliver with urgency.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills, with experience partnering closely with Marketing, Engineering, Design, Data, and Operations.
  • Data-fluent and experiment-driven, with hands-on experience using analytics and A/B testing to inform decisions and scale winning bets.
  • Clear, concise communicator who can influence senior leaders and align diverse stakeholders.
  • People leader who enjoys coaching PMs, raising the bar, and building durable product practices.
  • Thrives in ambiguity, moves quickly, and brings strong judgment to complex situations.
  • Deeply customer-obsessed, with a passion for building products that are both highly usable and commercially impactful.

The base salary range for this role is $235,000-$265,000, depending on levels of skills and experience.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of CLEAR’s salary range for this position. Salaries will vary depending on various factors which include, but are not limited to location, education, skills, experience and performance. The range listed is just one component of CLEAR’s total compensation package for employees and other rewards may include annual bonuses, commission, Restricted Stock Units.
