The Manager, Corporate Engineering is responsible for leading and inspiring our corporate IT and systems engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. You’ll lead efforts to manage CLEAR’s IT infrastructure and partner with business unit leaders to align IT strategy with CLEAR's overall business objectives.


What you'll do:

  • Drive the integration and management of cloud-based technologies, with a focus on Google Workspace, AWS, and identity management solutions like Okta.
  • Directly manage a team of engineers and help desk analysts, providing technical guidance, career development, and performance management.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize the IT budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation across the organization.
  • Spearhead the integration of various SaaS tools across the enterprise, enhancing overall system connectivity and efficiency.
  • Design and optimize Corporate Help Desk operations for efficient user support and incident management.
  • Implement robust cybersecurity measures and data protection programs in collaboration with Security and Infrastructure teams.
  • Lead automation initiatives across IT operations, focusing on scripting, workflow automation, and self-service solutions to improve efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
  • Oversee the implementation and management of endpoint management solutions like JAMF for macOS devices and Microsoft Intune for Windows environments.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments to understand their IT needs and implement tailored solutions.
  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts to ensure optimal service delivery and cost-effectiveness.

  • Successful integration and optimization of SaaS tools, leading to improved cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Hitting KPIs for IT performance, including system uptime, user happiness metrics, and automation adoption rates.
  • Effective budget management, achieving IT objectives within allocated resources.
  • Reduced time-to-resolution for IT issues and service requests through improved processes and automation.
  • Successful completion of major IT projects within scope, time, and budget constraints.
  • Demonstrated growth and skill advancement of IT staff members, particularly in areas of automation and emerging technologies.

What you're great at:

  • Strategic IT leadership with a proven track record in implementing best practices in multi-site organizations.
  • Strong people management skills, with experience leading and developing teams of engineers and help desk analysts.
  • Expertise in cloud technologies, especially Google Workspace, AWS, and identity management solutions.
  • Proficiency in optimizing IT efficiency through automation, scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell), and implementing self-service systems.
  • Hands-on experience with endpoint management solutions, particularly JAMF for macOS environments and Microsoft Intune for Windows devices.
  • Excellent project management skills, particularly in leading complex IT projects.
  • Strong communication skills, adept at conveying technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proactive problem-solving with a bias for action and data-driven decision-making.
  • Adaptability and resilience, thriving in fast-paced, evolving environments.
  • Leadership skills that inspire and motivate teams to achieve high performance and embrace automation.

The base salary range for this role is $150,000 - $180,000, depending on levels of skills and experience.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of CLEAR’s salary range for this position. Salaries will vary depending on various factors which include, but are not limited to location, education, skills, experience and performance. The range listed is just one component of CLEAR’s total compensation package for employees and other rewards may include annual bonuses, commission, Restricted Stock Units.
