POSITION SUMMARY

Job Title: Cloud DevOps Engineer

Location: Chicago, IL or Cincinnati, OH (Must be on-site 3 days a week)

Job Summary: A product (customer analytics solution) utilized by thousands to access data and reporting insights is being replaced. The on-premise technologies will be deprecated and replaced with this system that is being developed in-house. Cloud migration will allow for greater degrees of interoperability. The new product will simplify and streamline reporting and reimagine and enhance key capabilities (like exports and custom attributes). This new product will deliver new capabilities for customers, create a better user experience, and maximize data reuse, composability, and discoverability.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Scalable Infrastructure setup and configuration

• Troubleshooting cloud setup

• Understanding EC guidelines and directions

• Defining security posture

As a Cloud DevOps Engineer, you will work to develop scalable methods for building, deploying, and supporting cloud & on-prem services and systems. Work closely with Software Engineers to deploy and operate solutions; automate and streamline processes; build and maintain tools for deployment, monitor the platform, and troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments.

In this challenging role, you will be expected to develop solutions to meet the ever-increasing demand for operational improvements and efficiencies in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for deploying industry-standard automation and monitoring tools to highly visible products and implementing fully automated continuous delivery solutions.

• Establish standards for infrastructure testing and deployment mechanisms

• Automate and optimize processes, using tools like Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform

• Assist in the design and implementation of agile SaaS infrastructure, automated environment provisioning, and automated deployment and monitoring of multiple environments.

• Pair with development and QA teams to enable a continuous integration environment that sustains high productivity levels and emphasizes defect prevention techniques.

• Work with cross-functional business teams to understand requirements and other performance SLAs

• Thoroughly document operational practices and procedures.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production instances.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• BS in Computer Science or related field or years of equivalent work experience may be substituted.

• Senior level experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud Services (Data Factory, ADLS, SQL Data Warehouse)

• Experience creating cloud-based infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker

• Enhance and maintain Continuous Delivery and Continuous Delivery pipelines (CI/CD)

• Actively troubleshoot any issues that arise during testing and production, catching and solving issues before launch.

• Automating our operational processes as needed, Working with our automation stack, such as Terraform

• experience with Azure DevOps services such as DevOps, Pipelines, Test Plans, Artifacts, etc.

• Able and willing to work in a team environment and adopt a culture of ownership and initiative, and promote such within the team.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as excellent communication skills, verbal and written to both technical and non-technical audiences that are in a geographically dispersed environment
