Are you ready to help us design and build our LaserWeeder that solve real problems in our food supply?

As a Senior Accountant at Carbon Robotics, you will prepare financial reports to track the organization's assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities. You will be part of building, planning, and maintaining programs and policies while supporting a fast-paced environment.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts on a regular basis, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Ensure accurate and complete recording of financial transactions.
  • Coordinate and facilitate both internal and external audits.
  • Respond to audit inquiries and ensure the timely resolution of audit issues.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and coordinate with tax professionals for filings.
  • Develop and maintain accurate product costing models.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including receipts, disbursements, and adjustments.
  • Conduct regular physical counts and reconcile with system records.
  • Monitor and analyze inventory variances and investigate discrepancies.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and external partners, to address financial issues and provide support.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for Success:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA) is preferred.
  • Significant experience (typically 5+ years) in accounting roles, with a progression of responsibilities.
  • Thorough understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership and mentoring experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and across departments.

Carbon Robotics follows equitable hiring practices. Flexibility in our hiring process allows hiring of talent at levels different from what are posted. The compensation range outlined is based on a target budgeted base salary. Individual base pay depends on various factors such as relevant experience and skill, Interview assessments and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements. Offers are determined using our equitable hiring practices. Carbon Robotics offers additional compensation in the form of benefits premiums, pre-IPO stock options and On Target Earning commissions for appropriate positions. Base pay ranges are reviewed each year. We are committed to the principle of pay equity – paying employees equitably for similar work.

Carbon Robotics' base salary pay range:

$90,785—$141,620 USD
