Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of all operational activities including teams, resources and performance metrics for given portfolio. The responsibility encompasses end-to-end visibility and accountability for all operational aspects within your designated unit group. A unit group typically includes multiple applications, modules or services that fall under your leadership domain.
  • Advise on the continuous improvement and innovation of existing product features to reduce maintenance overhead and enhance user experience.
  • Identify and prioritize legacy code that requires frequent bugfixes or patches.
  • Lead refactoring initiatives to modernize outdated architectures and frameworks.
  • Consolidate redundant functionalities that create maintenance points.
  • Replace manual processes with automated solutions.
  • Standardized coding practices and architecture patterns across platforms.
  • Provide strategic direction and risk mitigation solutions for projects.
  • Establish clear, measurable project objectives that align with company goals. Aligning individual project strategies with overall portfolio objectives and resource constraints.
  • Establish technical standards and architectural principles that guide project implementation.
  • Assess resources risks such as skill gaps, availability constraints, and budget limitations.
  • Mentor and guide product managers in providing product support.
  • Sharing deep understanding of group unit applications.
  • Establish regular knowledge transfer sessions to discuss product updates. Guide understanding of development processes, release cycles and diagnostic techniques for common issues.
  • Provide surge capacity for continuous product performance improvement.
  • Establish comprehensive testing strategies. Guide error tracking and resolution processes. Manage standards, compliance and code reviews.
  • Define architecture patterns and design principles that guide system architecture within the unit group applications. Establish technical documentation standards.
  • Establish standardized code reviews, that ensure consistent evaluation of code quality.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or Telematics Engineering, or Information Systems.
  • Must have completed coursework in Data Structure, Open Operational Systems, Network Operating Systems, and Internet Programming.

40.00 hrs/wk

Work schedule: 8:00 am - 6:00 pm
