Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

ABOUT THE TEAM

The Connected Warfare division builds systems to support global command and control (C2) missions. We create joint, time-sensitive, multi-domain, ubiquitous, connected mesh ecosystems. Our technology enables connected warfare with disproportional impact by connecting every robot, human, and sensor in every domain, bringing together hundreds of thousands of endpoints across the globe. We are the substrate that provides the source of truth for time-sensitive decisions, effectively transforming the way that allied militaries close kill chains and enable mission autonomy.

The Mission Operations (MOPs) team is responsible for managing the execution, growth, and success of our customer accounts on the front lines. Working alongside the Program Director for Europe, you will be our first Mission Operations Engineer on the ground in the Netherlands, establishing our footprint, owning the local customer relationship, and scaling our European deployments.

ABOUT THE JOB

We are seeking an ambitious, highly technical Mission Operations Engineer to lead the deployment, system integration, user training, and day-to-day operational success of our Connected Warfare products in the Netherlands.

As the first MOPs hire in the country, you will be the primary technical and operational bridge to Dutch defense and national security customers. While you will be in the field working directly with military end-users and operators, this role has a strong focus on software, C2 workflows, system configurations, and data integration rather than heavy physical hardware installations.

This is an execution-focused role designed for a highly capable, technically-minded professional ready to take immense ownership of a critical, fast-growing European defense account.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Orchestrate System Deployments: Lead the technical configuration, deployment, and integration of Lattice OS and Connected Warfare software suites within Dutch defense ecosystems and command centers.
  • Train the Operator: Design and deliver hands-on training to military, security, and tactical operators, ensuring they are fully capable of exploiting our C2 systems and AI-powered interfaces.
  • Bridge the Gap to Engineering: Work side-by-side with operators to understand their specific workflow challenges, translating real-world operational requirements and software bugs back to our UK, European, and global engineering teams.
  • Drive Account Success on the Ground: Build trust-based relationships with military officers, technical stakeholders, and end-users in the Netherlands to ensure high system adoption and help uncover future mission needs.
  • Cross-Functional Execution: Collaborate closely with Europe-based program management (reporting to the Program Director, Europe) as well as global engineering and legal teams to ensure seamless project delivery.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Mission-First Mindset: You put the needs of the customer and the mission first. You are motivated by the opportunity to radically evolve national and allied defense capabilities.
  • The "First on the Ground" Adaptability: As our first MOPs engineer in NL, you thrive in unstructured environments. You are a self-starter who can work independently, solve vague technical problems, and drive tasks to completion without constant supervision.
  • Technical & Tactical Aptitude: You are a technical generalist. You must have a strong grasp of software systems, data structures, and command-and-control workflows, and be comfortable troubleshooting complex software/system integration issues in high-pressure environments.
  • Collaboration & Low-Ego: You enjoy working as part of a flat, fast-moving team that values teamwork, action, and execution over hierarchy.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Relevant Field Experience: Experience in field operations, systems engineering, technical deployment, defense technology, tactical communications, or technical customer success roles.
  • Software & Systems Literacy: Strong technical aptitude with a proven ability to configure software, troubleshoot systems, and understand IP networking, APIs, and data integration. (Heavy hardware deployment experience is not required, but a strong software/systems mindset is essential).
  • Stellar Communication: Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to build immediate rapport with both tactical operators and high-ranking military stakeholders.
  • Mobility: Based in the Netherlands (or willing to relocate) with a passport/visa status that allows for rapid, seamless travel across Europe and to the UK.
  • Language: Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Dutch and/or NATO Secret security clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Military/Defense Background: Prior military service (tactical ops, signals, intelligence, or C2) or experience working as a contractor/engineer directly with European ministries of defense.
  • Bilingual Skills: Professional fluency in Dutch is highly advantageous for building local relationships and training operators.
  • Academic Background: Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
  • Specialized Technical Skills: Experience with C2 (Command & Control) systems, GIS/mapping software, link budget tools, tactical data links, or virtualization/containers (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
