We are looking for a Technical Subcontract Manager to join our rapidly growing team in Costa Mesa, CA. As a Technical Subcontract Manager you’ll play a critical role driving the major subcontractor development for Anduril’s current and future programs by collaborating across engineering, quality, manufacturing, legal, and suppliers. This will require a breadth of understanding of both supply chain and government acquisition practices, the ability to work across teams seamlessly, and a deep appreciation for details.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Work cross functionally with program management, technical, legal, and procurement teams to develop a Supplier Statement of Work (SOW)
  • Manage SOW technical content and Subcontract Data Requirements Lists (SDRL)s to be consistent with the negotiated subcontract technical scope
  • Monitor the performance of the subcontractor, perform product acceptance, support source selection for managing suppliers, and review of subcontractor documents/deliverables
  • Review subcontractor’s proposal and negotiate price, terms, deliverables, and dates.
  • Conduct subcontract technical reviews
  • Perform cost and schedule variance investigations
  • Perform in-process technical reviews and assessments
  • Manage product acceptance.
  • Monitor and manage key subcontractor processes
  • Identify proposed changes in subcontract technical scope to the subcontractor
  • Refine Anduril’s current subcontracting method to ensure CAS compliance
  • Problem solve and remove obstacles for your team and internal and external partners. Know how to think critically and engage the right teams to help.
  • Communicate effectively to keep internal and external teams informed at all times. Use the necessary channels (Slack, email, meetings) to ensure stakeholders understand what needs to be accomplished and when.
  • Be a team player where no task is too small. Be willing to roll up your sleeves and get the job done. Embrace the startup life.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor degree (or equivalent experience) and minimum of 5 years of experience in multi-discipline programs performing in a TSM role
  • Strong understanding of the Systems Engineering Lifecycle and associated processes
  • Understanding of government contracts and cost accounting standards
  • Experience evaluating subcontractor performance and deliverables
  • Strong understanding of EVM principles
  • Technical experience with aircraft mission systems
  • Advanced sourcing activities, including stints as commodity/sourcing managers
  • Familiarity with developing high-tech products in a high-mix, low-volume environment
  • Some exposure working in a start-up environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (BSME, BSEE) or other related technical degree. Advanced technical degree or MBA strongly preferred
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance, active TS clearance preferred
US Salary Range
$100,000$192,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
