Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

Anduril is a defence technology company, bringing Silicon Valley talent and funding to the defence sector. Our technology helps our customers solve their toughest challenges by enabling them to make better, more informed decisions in life-and-death situations. We’ve assembled a diverse team of experts in software, robotics, artificial intelligence, sensor fusion, and data analysis to create software and hardware solutions that radically evolve the defence capabilities of the United States, and are now seeking to replicate our successes internationally with a team based in Australia. If you are passionate about solving problems that have real impact, we want you to join Anduril Australia and help us build the future of defence capability.

At Anduril Australia we are developing uncrewed systems for subsurface and other domains that will leverage unsupervised autonomy for the delivery of long endurance, multi-mission capability to our customers. These projects, including but not limited to the Extra Large Autonomous Undersea Vehicle (XL-AUV) Program, require the development and implementation of novel engineering processes that can delivery functional, safe, and affordable solutions on a fraction of the timeline traditionally needed for new capability development. We are seeking a Senior Manager, with a strong technical background, to lead and expand our ICT, security, and compliance functions, acting as a key enabler for the sustained delivery of industry-leading capability to our customers.

  • Lead by doing, with a hands-on approach that sets vision and direction, motivates, and manages a multi-disciplinary team that you will grow over time.
  • Drive the implementation of a comprehensive security program that aligns and complies with industry best practice, and regulatory requirements.
  • Report to the Chief Information Security Officer of Anduril Industries, and Anduril Australia executive leadership, ensuring alignment with our strategic objectives, and appropriate management of risk.
  • Own the relationship between Anduril Australia and our customers for all things security, ensuring trust and confidence is earned and maintained.
  • Act as the Chief Security Officer for Anduril Australia, including policy, controls, and compliance across digital, physical and personnel domains.
  • Act as the System Owner for corporate ICT systems that are certified and accredited by the Commonwealth of Australia to process extremely sensitive information.
  • Act as the compliance subject matter expert for engineering teams at Anduril Australia.
  • Manage Anduril Australia’s Defence Industry Security Program membership, including personnel security clearances, and accreditation for physical workspaces and ICT systems.
  • Manage vendors and service provider relationships and outputs, where they contribute to ICT, security and compliance outcomes.
  • Grow to own ICT, internal security, and compliance for Anduril Australia, interfacing between, and balancing the needs of our local and international businesses.
  • Maintain a high level of security posture and compliance of existing corporate and classified systems.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Software Engineering or other relevant fields, equivalent experience also considered.
  • Strong understanding of information security principles, technologies, and best practices, including Australian standards the DSPF and ISM.
  • Experience in developing and implementing information security programs in a complex, regulated environment, including one or more of incident response, risk management, application security, code audit or compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated competence as a team leader and manager.

  • Familiarity with cyber-worthiness and physical security certification ISO 27001 / 2000 and accreditation processes used by the Commonwealth of Australia, particularly the Department of Defence.
  • Experience managing the delivery of sovereign capability, with the context of a global business.
  • Experience with uncrewed vehicles, robotics, or other sectors with a focus on embedded security.
  • Experience with a variety of approaches to ICT delivery, including managing SaaS, cloud, virtualization, physical hardware, zero-trust architecture, continuous delivery and configuration-as-code.
  • Certification such as SANS, CISSP, CISM, CCISO, CCSP, CEH, OSCP or CIPP.
