Anduril ATL specializes in the development of unmanned aircraft systems that eject from host platforms or modular launch systems. These platforms are designed to meet the specific needs of our customers, where we design, build, test, and ultimately deliver unique solutions to the customer. Our customers include the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, and NASA.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Aerodynamic design of unmanned air vehicles / missiles at conceptual, preliminary and detail design maturities
  • Aerodynamic analysis of unmanned air vehicles, using both low and high order methods, including analysis tool development and improvement, as needed
  • Stability and control analysis
  • Aircraft performance modeling and simulation
  • Aerodynamic loads generation
  • Wind tunnel test planning, execution and analysis
  • Flight test planning, execution and analysis

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or any related field
  • Approaching Junior year or beyond at the time of the internship
  • Must be returning to school at the end of their internship to continue their academic studies
  • Experience with aircraft performance analysis and predictions
  • Test experience including data acquisition, data analysis and project coordination
  • Strong programming skills and code development experience
  • Experience preparing formal documentation (i.e. specifications, test procedures, technical reports, etc)
  • U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled data

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with aircraft sizing and configuration trade studies, including aerodynamic design, shaping, and multidisciplinary design optimization (MDO)
  • Competent in a variety of aerodynamic analysis techniques including hand calculations, vortex lattice methods, panel methods, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
  • Have a bias for action. If you see a problem, you want to solve and fix it
  • Be naturally curious about the technologies and tools you use
  • Low-ego, high ownership, and mission oriented
