About the Position:
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will play a key role in generating new business opportunities for the sales team. You will be responsible for identifying and qualifying potential leads through outbound prospecting efforts, as well as inbound lead qualification. The ideal candidate is proactive, results-driven, and possesses excellent communication skills. This role is compensated on a cash and commission basis, so the earning potential in this position is commensurate with your own efforts and ambition.
Core Responsibilities:
Prospect and qualify potential leads to build a pipeline of qualified sales opportunities
Research and develop deep understanding of target accounts in your territory
Leverage all available information to form a prospective point of view (PPOV) on the value proposition of Acres for accounts in your territory
Effectively use calling and email outreach to generate leads
Creatively iterate on calling and email tactics to increase your conversation rates across the pipeline building process
Effectively organize, track, and communicate status of prospecting activity to team manager and account executives
Schedule and conduct qualification calls to understand your prospects’ business needs, challenges, pains, and the impact of those pains on their business objectives
Act as a trusted advisor to the ag industry, sharing how Acres helps similar customers, and tailoring outreach to how Acres can specifically solve customer pains, and when applicable, positively impact their business
Continuously grow your knowledge of prospecting tactics (research, outreach, qualification), sales tactics (discovery, product demonstration, building business value, negotiation), enterprise software-as-a-service (b2b SaaS), the Acres product, and real estate - specifically, agricultural and natural assets such as farmland, timberland, and rural land

Ambitious and financially motivated to achieve your sales target
Fayetteville, AR-based or willing to relocate
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior customer-facing experience, especially in a sales or account management role
Familiarity with Hubspot or similar CRM
Prior experience working with professionals in the agricultural industry, especially land brokers, land appraisers, ag bankers, or investors
Desire to work with customers and help them solve business challenges
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a 4-year university, especially with a focus in business, agriculture, or technology

Have startup and/or tech experience
Have software sales experience
Have ag industry experience
Have used Acres in a professional capacity
